Tyla Heard may be an underclassman, but she is contributing in big ways. Coach Calip said of Heard, “she’s a young player who grew tremendously over last season and will make a huge impact on our team this season.”
Has received DI offers and will receive more. Had a tremendous summer. Her current offers are Abilene Christian, Easter Michigan, Binghamton, and several others with interest.
VYPE: If your 30-year-old self showed up at school today to give you advice, what do you thinks you would tell yourself?
Heard: I think I would tell myself not to take anything for granted and enjoy the little things.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
Heard: There’s a lot but I would say the trust and bonds we have all built, and we hold each other accountable on and off the court, it’s a family.
VYPE: If you could star in any TV show or movie, what would it be and what role would you play?
Heard: I would be Ashley Banks, Wills little sister from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I just
Love that show because it’s so funny and the time of it seems so fun with the music, clothes, style, and it reminds me of my family a little because there is always something going on. Plus who wouldn’t want to be with Will Smith all day?
