

Sapulpa High School senior Edgar Borjas is what soccer coach Kenny Kinzer calls an unsung hero of the team. Borjas is the type of player every team needs. Someone willing to put it all on the line for little recognition.
We decided to learn more about this unsung hero at Sapulpa High School.
VYPE: Edgar, how long have you played soccer?
Borjas: I’ve played all four years of high school.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
Borjas: My teammates are like family to me, and they mean a lot to me.
VYPE: What do you love most about representing your school in competition?
Borjas: I love being able to represent my school in a competitive aspect. It’s very cool.
VYPE: What do you like to do with your free time?
Borjas: I enjoy playing other sports in my free time.
The Sapulpa boys soccer team return a solid core of players according to coach Kinzer. With Keefer Garden, Trey Hale, Cade Stevenson, Weston Moore, and Brady Powers back, expectations are growing for the Chieftains.
Also look for Adam Asad and Micah Gilbert to have an impact as well.
