VYPE: How did your season turn out and what goals did you have?
Elizabeth: We were regional runner up, and I think we grew and improved a lot as a team this season. Personally, my goals were to be consistent as a hitter and gain confidence and accuracy in the field.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Elizabeth: I had a lot of fun this summer going to Nashville to play softball with my competitive team. I also had a great time playing games on bus rides to and from school softball games!!
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Elizabeth: I’ve had a lot of great teachers, but one of my favorites is probably Mrs Williams, my Spanish teacher last year. She always used helpful learning styles and was always supportive of her student-athletes. I also really loved my eighth grade English teacher Ms. Taha.
VYPE: Who do you look up to and why?
Elizabeth: I look up to my mom because she is very dedicated and she always puts others first. I also look up to my dad, because he always encourages me to do better and helps me reach my goals.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Elizabeth: The teammates who have left the biggest impression on me are Daniah Blation and Makayla Littlebear. I’ve played with them since I was in 6th grade, and I have always looked up to their leadership and dedication. They have always been so kind and supportive, and they always give 100% no matter what.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Elizabeth: I think the best part about being on a team is that you know that someone is always there for you. When one teammate is having a bad day, they can always rely on having a teammate to pick them up and have their back.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Elizabeth: I would really like to either go to New Zealand to see all the beautiful nature or across Europe to go to some of the unique structures and attractions. I would take my parents, grandparents, and a couple close friends.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing softball?
Elizabeth: I started playing t-ball when I was four, and at that point I was just trying pretty much every sport to see which ones I liked. As the years went on, softball was the sport that really stuck with me.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Elizabeth: Hi to my parents and grandparents, and thank you for supporting me! Thank you Coach C and Coach Agee for helping me improve this season. I also want to say thank you to my competitive coaches Dana and Mike Cundiff for always pushing me to get better and believing in me.
