Sapulpa’s Elizabeth Trosper
Sapulpa senior Elizabeth Trosper has played softball since she was four years old. As her final high school season playing for the Lady Chieftains came to a close, she can look back and reflect on her favorite aspects of her team.
“I love how well my team compliments each other’s strength and I love how fun they are and the sense of camaraderie we have with each other,” she said. “Everyone is unique and has different strengths, and that is important for a team to have.”
Trosper loves being around her teammates and the different personalities on the team. Trosper said there is always one the keeps everyone laughing and one who finishes the game with the dirtiest uniform.
“All of my teammates are pretty hilarious, but I know Abileyne Hendrickson would appreciate the shout out,” said Trosper. “As for the dirtiest uniform, I would have to say Anna Southerland.”
Trosper is also involved in NHS, FCA, athletic leadership council, yearbook, and academic team. Her favorite class is AP Literature with Mrs. Lloyd. During her free time, she likes shopping, baking, playing guitar, and playing with her three cats.
With her senior season now at an end, Trosper looks forward to the future.
“It definitely wasn’t the strongest season for me personally, but I think it was a good learning experience going into college,” she said. “Despite things that went wrong for me personally this season, I felt like I improved my leadership skills and my versatility, as I got to play some different positions than I am used to.”
After graduation, Trosper would like to continue her softball career at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in exercise science or another health-related major.
