
VYPE: Ryan, what grade are you in and when did you get back into wrestling?
Ryan Peterson: I am in the 12th grade, and I came back to wrestling my sophomore year.
VYPE: Who has impressed you the most in the Sapulpa wrestling room this season?
RP: Eli Montgomery has been the most hard-working kid in our room and has definitely impressed me the most.
VYPE: What is the strength of your skill set and what’s most improved this season?
RP: The strength of my game is definitely my defense and I’ve been improving my offense a lot lately.
VYPE: What makes Sapulpa HS a great place to be a student-athlete?
RP: Sapulpa has amazing coaches which makes all our athletes better.
VYPE: Which teammate keeps everyone laughing and who is the most serious?
RP: Jack Madden is who makes everyone laugh in serious situations, but Christian Cue usually is the most serious.
VYPE: How do you mentally prepare yourself for competition?
RP: I would say I play my music and get mentally prepared.
VYPE: What is your favorite memory as a wrestler?
RP: My favorite memory is the tournaments with my teammates.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates? Are you playing any other sports?
RP: I love how all my teammates are good friends and we all get along. I am currently only wrestling.
VYPE: What is the goal after high school?
RP: My goal after high school is to go to college and then law school to become a lawyer.
