Caydon Miller knows what it takes to make the state tournament in wrestling. Head coach Kyle Blevins said the senior is wrestling at 113-pounds this season.
“His junior year he was 21-7 and was the third-place finisher in regionals at 106-pounds. That same season he finished third at the Class 5A state tournament,” said Blevins.
We caught up with Caydon Miller as the regular season was coming to a close and wrestlers begin to prepare for regional tournaments.
VYPE: Caydon, what do you love most about your team and teammates at Sapulpa?
Miller: The thing I love the most about my team and teammates is that they push me no matter what and they are always trying to get me better.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, on or off the mat?
Miller: My biggest influencers in my life would be my coach, my dad, and my grandpa. My coach because he always tries to get me through everything I do with wrestling and in school. My dad because he is the one who got me into wrestling and has always taught me to do my best and go my hardest. And my grandpa because he is always trying to help me through life and always trying to get me prepared for things in the future.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school?
Miller: My favorite subject is probably math because that’s my best subject and I understand math more than any of the other subjects.
