Throughout the career of an athlete, there will be moments that stick with them forever. This is the same for any athlete, no matter how short or long their career is. Asia Dunn says that out of all of her athletic moments, there are a couple that standout as her favorites.

“One of the biggest highlights of my career would have to be starting on varsity as a freshman last season,” she said. “Another would be helping my team make it to the Class 6A state playoffs. Those are my two favorite memories.”

Dunn is a sophomore at Sapulpa High School where she plays soccer. She also plays club soccer for TSC ECNL 06 Girls. She plays outside back for the club team, but for her school team, she plays sweeper and center mid. Asia has been playing soccer for most of her life, beginning at the age of four.

She has had a lot of support over the years and Asia says that her family has always been there for her.

“Some of my biggest influences and role models are my parents,” she said. They work so hard for everything in life. They do so much for me, my siblings, and my whole family. They have supported me through my whole soccer journey and always made ends meet to help me play the sport I love. I look up to and appreciate them for all that they’ve helped me accomplish today.”

Becoming the best soccer player she can be has not been easy, but she says that putting in work is important.

“I have seen people fall in and out of soccer,” she said. “Of course it takes tons of practice and work. The biggest thing is just to stick with it, have the drive, have the passion, and love what you’re doing.”

Along with playing soccer, Dunn is also involved with various groups around campus. She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, Family, Community and Career Leaders of America, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Key Club and the Spanish Club. She is also a volunteer assistant coach for her little sisters recreational soccer team at Sapulpa Soccer Club. She also carries a 4.3 GPA.
