Coach: Darlean Calip
20-21 Record: 19-3
The defending Class 5A state champions (5 titles total) and the rest of the field is taking notice. Head coach Darlean Calip returns several keys players including one of the top juniors in Oklahoma, Stailee Heard. “We return three starters with an incoming group of athletic young players and will look to compete for another state championship this season,” said coach Calip. Heard (5-11, Jr.) averaged 16 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 4.3 assists last season. She has 20-plus Division I offers thanks to her tremendous work ethic, being coachable and tons of God given talent. Another Heard on the team, Tyla Heard (5-11, So.) averaged 6.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists are huge for this team. Coach Calip said of Heard, “she grew tremendously over last season and will make a huge impact on our team this season.” The offers are rolling in for Tyla as well. Jaselyn Rossman (5-8, Sr.) is another returning starter with an outside shot and a nose for playing tough defense. Brooklyn Berry (5-5, Sr.) is a competitive player who grabbed a ton of experience last season. Berry is another guard who can shoot from the outside. Taylor Bilby (5-6, So.) is an exceptional shooter and a threat to score when she has the ball. Wrigley Adkission (6-1, Fr.) and MaTaya Hall (5-7, Fr.) are two freshmen looking to have an impact this season. Emmie Osborn (6-0, Sr.) is a strong, physical presence in the paint and could become a dominant rebounder and defender in the post.
